May 13, 2016“So I received my Maryland Medical Marijuana recommendation… what now?”
May 31, 2016Having a medical marijuana card now a day is almost like having an ID card, everyone has one. And if you don’t have it, you can’t play! Just like trying to get into a bar without an ID (especially if you look like your 17).
But before getting your medical marijuana card, there is a couple things you must consider. Here are four things we advise you research and ask us about before you get your card:
1) DOES MY AILMENT QUALIFY?
It’s imperative that you have some type of ailment that qualifies to get your card in your current state or district. Some starts are much stricter on which ailments qualify for medical marijuana usage while some are more lenient. Do your research or just ask us if you qualify or not. Our team will be more than happy to assist.
2) WILL MY DISPENSARY CONSULT ME ON WHAT’S BEST FOR MY CURRENT SITUATION?
Dispensaries have a wide variety of products, causing decision making to become very stressful when trying to figure out what’s best for you. It’s important to understand what type of consulting the dispensary will do for you when you arrive. Will they sit with you on your first visit and go through the products? Will they show you how to use the different products and the effects of the different strains? These are things that you should definitely consider before you choose a dispensary.
3) HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY CARD TO ARRIVE?
This answer varies on where you’re located. Currently, in DC, it can take anywhere from 3 wees, up to 6 weeks to get your card! In Maryland, once you get your approval, you’re all set. So again, ask us or speak with the Department of Health in your state about this. You definitely want to know how long it will take so you’re not waiting and waiting for your card.
4) WHEN AM I SUPPOSED TO RENEW MY CARD?
This is another question you should have the answer to before you get your card. Again, it varies state by state. Typically, renewals must be done every 6 months on yearly.
If you understand the answers to these questions and feel comfortable feel free to give us a call or book your appointment right now. Looking forward to being of assistance to you 🙂
