Maryland To be Adding More Licenses Potentially
January 31, 2017Medical Cannabis testing firm gets the first Maryland license
February 7, 2017Senator Richard Madaleno, vice chair of the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee and Dels. Curt Anderson plan on pushing a bill that will legalize and tax marijuana in the state of Maryland. This is huge news as residents in Maryland have been waiting years to get some type of update from the state.
It will still be illegal to smoke marijuana in the public, similar to Washington DC. But patients over 21 will be allowed to possess and grow marijuana. The amount patients can grow has not been stated yet.
Another bill will be set to tax sales of the medicine between different needs in the state such as school programs, substance abuse, etc.
We must say, were excited!
